Shields and Erin Ochoa, Stage Manager and Director Assistant.
We warmly welcome our new students and new
staff members to the J.H. Picard family.
The students at J. H. Picard receive
instruction in French in all core subject areas except English Language Arts.As immersion students, parents do not have
to be French speaking. Our students graduate with fluency in French and
English opening wide the doors of opportunities in their future.As well, research tells us that learning
two languages increases academic potential.We are proud of our students as J. H. Picard because they not only
work hard, but they are active leaders in the school.In 2008-2009, 55% of our high school students
received Rutherford Scholarships. 51% of junior high received honours.
The elementary was recognized as one of the top schools in Canada from
Fraser Results Report.
We look forward to this year as we strive
for excellence in learning and in providing opportunities for students to
learn.Our students are dedicated in
taking many opportunities to develop their God-given gifts where they
generously share them with others by serving the greater good of our school.We are blessed with the parents, staff, and
